  1. Jun 24,  · Oh yes another great 'album' is Chuck Jackson Arrives. Who can resist that voice. "In A Special Way"-Debarge: I also agree with Grant on this one! One of the best R&B albums of the 80's IMHO. Not only for the hits "Time Will Reveal", and the title cut, but for several album cuts that continue to get play on R&B oldies and Quiet Storm radio.

  5. Chuck Jackson was one of a swathe of vocalists who bridged the gap between 50s doo wop and the emergence of soul in the early 60s, and if 'Anyday Now' notwithstanding, he didn't really get his due it wasn't down to any lack of talent: who wouldn't have struggled against competition of the calibre of Ben E King, Jerry Butler, Gene Chandler, Garnett Mimms, Marv Johnson and Jackie Wilson?/5(17).

  7. Chuck Jackson had a few hits back in the day, but underneath those classics is an even more amazing body of work – soul music taken to new levels of adult expression, openly emotive but never in a cliched way – already reaching way beyond roots in gospel and blues for a whole new way .
  8. CHUCK JACKSON Vinyl Records and CDs: American soul/r&b singer (born July 22, ), started his career in the early 60's and has performed ever since. His first hit was I Don't Wanna Cry in Some other hits of his include Any Day Now, I Keep Forgettin' and All Over The World.
  9. Apr 10,  · Recently discovered that a handful of terrific songs were originally done by Chuck Jackson, including "I Keep Forgettin" (hit for Michael McDonald) and "Any Day Now" (recorded by Elvis, hit for Ronnie Milsap). Heard the original versions by Chuck Jackson, really like 'em, and want to hear more by him. Any recommendations where to start?
